Diffraction lenses use a fine grating to split point-source light, lasers, fairy lights, phone torches, into rainbow trails and starburst patterns. The effect is strongest in the dark with sharp light sources rather than broad stage lighting. Lens tint and frame shape vary between models, so check which suits your face shape.
